Located in Grandad Bluff Park, the Gateway Trail system provides over five miles of trails accessible from nearby neighborhoods. The trails at the top of the bluff offer a limestone network ideal for family hiking and biking.
The 0.5-mile Gateway 1.5 Connector Trail constructed by GASS connects the south end of the park to the east side and is suitable for users of all levels with its "Green" rating. The trail is designed for two-way traffic and uses local natural materials for the surface and rock structures for drainage.
GASS's rock work is showcased through practical and attractive retaining walls and rock armoring that increase the trail's durability. This connector trail promotes community involvement and emphasizes the importance of outdoor activities and ecological care in the park.
